Gerald Williams is our in-house analyst.

Gerald has specialized in behavioral economics and the psychological aspects of investment decisions ever since his student time at the University of Leicester. His work helps to uncover not just the technical side of broker platforms, but also the emotional and cognitive patterns that drive traders’ actions.

His interest in financial behavior began back in university, where he focused his academic research on behavioral economics. Later, he completed a practical psychology program, driven by his own passion for understanding how people think and decide. Thanks to this background, Gerald has a deep understanding of why traders trust some companies and avoid others, what psychological tactics shady brokers use, and how trustworthy platforms build lasting relationships with clients.

At tradingdefence.com, Gerald analyzes platforms through the lens of user experience. Namely, how the interface is designed, what promises the company makes, how it tries to earn trust, and when its behavior raises red flags. His particular focus is identifying manipulative strategies that push users into making mistakes.

“No license will save you if a broker knows how to play on your fear of missing out. My job is to help readers spot those tactics and make better choices.”

In his free time, Gerald reads the works of Kahneman and Thaler, and is currently working on launching his own startup focused on building ethical ESG financial products.
